Late Night Wedding Snacks
A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to work a wedding that had a grilled cheese truck as their late night snack and it inspired me to write this blog post all about late night snacks at weddings. Late night snacks are such a good way to have another personal touch at your wedding and to treat your guests! After all, your reception should be a party and all the best parties have snacks! But seriously, after dancing all night, your guests will likely be a little hungry before they head home and late night snacks are the perfect little treat to end the night with.
Should You Consider Having A Late Night Snack?
As the name suggests, late night snacks are especially appreciated by guests when your wedding goes a little later into the evening. This is especially true if you are having your dinner earlier in the evening and partying pretty late into the night. After all, well-fed guests are likely to stay longer and celebrate harder! They are always a hit with guests, especially those who may have a bit farther to go home after and could use a bit of fuel before heading out. They are also just another great way to add a super personal touch to your big day and share something special to you and your new spouse.
Helpful Tips
A few things to remember with late night snacks are they should be just that, a snack. There is no need to feed your guests another full meal if you don’t want to. It is also smart to have your late night snack be easy to eat. Consider what you will need in terms of cutlery and plates/napkins (Pro-tip: make sure your vendor provides those things!). Also remember that since your late night snack vendor may be getting there in the middle of your reception, someone will need to meet them and help get everything set up. This is another scenario where planners save the day!
Ideas
Like I said before, your late night snack should be something special to you as a couple. We have seen it all when it comes to late night snacks but we definitely have some favorite ideas! Did you go on your first date somewhere close to your wedding venue? See if they are able to provide the snack! Are you and your spouse super passionate about pizza? Have some of your favorite pizza there for your guests! The possibilities are truly infinite when it comes to choosing what to serve your hungry and danced-out guests. You can also do something sweet like donuts or ice cream. Those are always a huge hit for guests who don’t love wedding cake.
We are curious to know, did you do a late night snack at your wedding, or what was your favorite snack from a wedding you’ve been to?
