Stories from Intimate Weddings
This week, we are back with another piece of our Intimate Wedding Series! If you are just joining in, or considering an intimate wedding yourself, we would love for you to check back to our other posts, as well! Here’s what we’ve touched on so far:
What is an Intimate Wedding
Benefits of an Intimate Wedding
What an Intimate Wedding Looks Like from a Planner’s Perspective
We are so excited to dig a little deeper today into stories from intimate weddings! We at Taylor Dawn have had the pleasure of working with quite a few brides to create a smaller-guest-count wedding day with just as much character and detailed curation as any other, if not more!
While working with your planner on details for your intimate wedding day, there are many things to be considered. Just how many guests are you planning to have? How will we make this a personalized experience for each guest? Here’s what some of our brides had to say about hosting an intimate wedding and the stress relief through the process:
Enjoying the process
Without having to worry about picking, seating, or entertaining 200 guests, my fiancé and I were able to focus on some of our nearest and dearest while having a wedding day we truly will remember and cherish every moment of. Being able to have a meaningful conversation with each guest was so important to us, and we believe they will cherish that time, too!
Keep the party going
Some people are worried about not having enough people for a dance floor, etc. but we had 30 guests and the dance floor was going all night! I think our family and friends were able to really relax and let loose knowing they were in the comfort of a few friends and not overwhelmed by a crowded space.
include personal touches
Having a smaller guest count allowed us to create personal touches that really impacted our guests. My husband and I were able to write a thank you note to each guest and even chat with them after they read it! I think it meant a lot to them to know we had thought about them and truly appreciated them coming to spend time with us on our wedding day.
Overall, your wedding is going to be special + wonderful, no matter what size day you decide to go with. Whether it’s based on budget or guest count, you can rest assured knowing you will not have FOMO if you choose a more intimate wedding day. Your people will feel special + so loved on by you asking them to celebrate your most special day. We will see you next time, friends! Happy planning!
