Vendor Series | Florals with Brett Glenn Floral Design
To us, one of the most artistic aspects of a wedding day is the floral design, and we love any opportunity that we can work with Brett Glenn of Brett Glenn Floral Design. Brett was so sweet to sit down and answer these questions for us about her design process and how the florist and planner work together to make the wedding day so magical. Floral design can add so much to the scheme of your event, and it’s important to work with professionals that can guide you in the right direction. Keep reading to hear all the tips from Brett!
What's your favorite way brides are incorporating florals on their wedding day? (i.e. backdrop for the ceremony, bouquets, etc)
Centerpieces! I suggest making the reception pop by adding layers upon layers of full centerpieces. You can accomplish this look by adding tall floral arrangements with a full candle-scape below or a low, lush floral arrangement with candles incorporated within.
What's your favorite part about collaborating with planners?
Planners add another artistic eye to the overall look/design of the wedding.
In your opinion, how do florals and styling play such a large role in weddings?
Streamlining your florals with paper goods, linens and other rentals plays a crucial role in ultimately achieving your gorgeously stunning wedding.
How do you stay up-to-date on trends in the event industry?
Just by staying relevant and picking and choosing which “trends” seem like a good fit for our business.
What's the most fun part when curating pieces for weddings?
When you can sit back at 4:00 pm on Wedding Day Saturday after they’ve been set and placed and awe at you and your team’s beautiful handiwork.
