How to Put Together Your Dream Vendor Team
You’re engaged, but what’s next?! Researching and finding the right wedding vendors can be overwhelming for new brides, so we wanted to put together our must have tips to help you build your vendor “dream team”!
Trust Your Planner
This might seem like a no-brainer, but we really want to emphasize this one! As a planner, we do this for a living and are able to guide you in ways that you might not realize. We work with vendors from all around and can help you find vendors that will really work for your aesthetic. So don’t hesitate to ask us! We want to help you in every way that we can, and make your day as easy for you as possible.
Know Your Budget
Going in, it’s easy to be unaware of all of the costs, and how quickly everything can add up! It’s important to start out on the right foot and set a budget. Setting your budget early on will not only help you, but it will also help your planner in recommending vendors, ideas for design, and so on. Plus, if you haven’t solidified your budget, it could wind up costing you a lot of money in the long run.
Research Vendors and Consider How They Will Work Cohesively to Compliment Your Style
As you begin your search, you’ll start to see styles that you’re drawn to. For photography, do you prefer natural light or more moody? For florals, are you more drawn to a classic look or more whimsical bouquets? Once you start to see a pattern in your taste preferences, or brownie points if you see a group of vendors that you’re interested in who have worked together on multiple weddings, you’ll be able to gauge what you really like.
Meet With More Than One of Each Vendor
It’s so important to make sure that you and your potential vendor’s personalities are aligned. You want to be sure that you can go to them with any questions, or concerns, that you may have so that you can work together to achieve your dream day! Ensuring that they see your vision is so important, and by meeting with a few of each vendor, you’ll be sure to find the perfect fit!
Ask A Lot of Questions
There’s nothing wrong with asking questions, so make sure to ask as many questions as you can think of before booking your vendors! It’s important to know every detail up front, so don’t feel guilty for having a lot of questions. Even during the process, if you have a question, speak up! Your vendor will appreciate your curiosity, and it will show them how excited you are in the process!
Have Fun With It!
We know how easy it is to get stressed on details, but try to remember that this is supposed to be one of the best days of your life! Know that your planner and vendors will be doing everything in their power to ensure a wonderful day. Trust your planner’s recommendations because their industry knowledge is unbeatable, and they will be able to guide you in the best direction possible. Try and enjoy all of the little moments, because they fly by!
