Styling + Planning Q&A
A couple of weeks ago on Instagram, we asked you guys to send us any questions that you had about planning, styling and all things weddings. We are so excited to share this Q&A with you and give you a little look behind-the-scenes! Let us know what you think, and if you want to know more!
As a planner, what are your favorite details to focus on?
I love focusing on all the small details that come together to make your day uniquely represent you! Small details like linen choices, flatware color, and menu design are all things that can make your day super personalized. I also love all the details for styling, of course! We absolutely love when you bring things like a personalized ring box, vow books, anything that is special or sentimental to you. Those touches really make an impact in your wedding gallery and in the photos you have to remember the day forever from.
What are your favorite parts of a client's wedding day?
For me, it's the first look, hands down. Typically, myself and the photographers are the only witnesses to this intimate moment and seeing the emotion and pure joy between couples makes everything worth it on that day. Also, I really love to show the bride the reception space before guests enter. This gives her a moment to take it all in and see everything come to life. Happy tears are a bonus!
What's the difference between planning and styling?
Planning basically covers all your logistical details - timeline, layout, etc. Styling is a separate service that not all Planners offer (but we do!). Styling involves laying out your details in a curated fashion for your photographer to capture on wedding day.
Can you train me to do flatlays like you?!
YES! We are toying with the idea of offering a Styled course in person!!! Let us know if you’re interested!
