Happy Valentines Day | Things I've Learned from Working with Couples | Cookie Recipe!

Hey friends! I just wanted to check in on this holiday so near and dear to my heart + wish everyone a Happy Valentines Days! To celebrate I made hubs + I some special cookies and thought I would share the recipe with all of you! I also did some reflecting on some of the lessons I’ve learned from having a career based on working with couples… so read below for my fave things I’ve learned and the recipe to these amazing cookies!

My fave lessons I’ve learned as a wedding planner

1. Compromise is always best. It is super hard for both parties to see the “vision” when you are working on something, especially a wedding, but also after the wedding and into life, sticking together always wins

2. Making time on your wedding day for even two minutes to sit together and breathe is always a top priority of mine. You want to take a few moments to soak it all in. Whether this is after your first look or before you enter the reception, I cannot recommend this enough!

3. Add elements to celebrate your love! He gave you tulips for your first valentines? Incorporate those! Have a furry friend that you both love like a child? Find a place for him in the wedding! Weddings are supposed to be all about your love for each other so make it personalized!
